Roadway Closure along CSAH (County State Aid Highway) 44 (60th Ave NW) to begin on July 5, 2023
ROCHESTER, Minn. – Roadway construction work on CSAH 4 (Valleyhigh Road NW) as part of the CSAH 4/CSAH 44 project will be moving into the next stage on June 28, 2023. Traffic will be moved onto the newly constructed section of CSAH 4. County Road (CR) 158 from CSAH 4 to the north will also be opening to traffic, along with CSAH 44 (60 Ave NW) south of the newly constructed roundabout. Roadway work will continue north of the roundabout on CSAH 44, and the existing section of CSAH 4 will be obliterated and closed to local traffic only for access. A roadway closure from 51 Street NW to ½ mile north of 55 Street NW will be put in place on July 5, 2023. A detour will be placed for this closure, as shown on the map below. This will be the final stage of the project, and this section of roadway is anticipated to be completed by October 20, 2023.
Fitzgerald Excavating and Trucking, Inc. is the prime contractor for the $19,700,000 regrading/reconstruction project.
The traveling public should expect delays and seek alternative routes if possible.
